Resistance bands are a great way to build strength and tone without the heaviness that other equipment can bring. Equipment and resistance work is essential for overall strength and tone, but sometimes you may not want the feel of weights or heavy equipment due to lack of energy, you are starting out, recovering from a health ailment or you simply prefer to workout using your bodyweight or a band.
I predominantly use a resistance band for my workouts and find it’s a really sustainable piece of equipment to use for life.
You can increase your band strength gradually as well, but never sacrifice the technique. Bands add diversity and challenge to bodyweight moves, fitness moves, yoga and Pilates and are great for targeting core, arms, legs and glutes.
